1. How to Start a Business

 

Every state and county has different requirements for cosmetic tattoo artists. We will be going over the basics of what is required by almost all counties. Please check with your state or local county for additional regulations for tattoo artists. You must take a Bloodborne Pathogen test from a website recommended by your county prior to training. This test is very fundamental and is very easy to pass.  The following will be discussed during the first day of the course to help you get started:

 

• How to apply in your city/county

• Practitioners License (some state requires up to 1 year apprenticeship program)

• Business License (If you plan on working for yourself)

• Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) – can be taken online ($25-$50)

• Facility Permit Requirements

• Insurance requirements

• Client Forms will be provided

  • Consent Forms

  • Pre-procedure Instructions

  • Post-procedure/Aftercare Instructions

• Sanitation

• Workstation Setup

• Sharps pickup setup

 

2. Brow Technique Skills
 

Learning the techniques are very essential to your growth as an artist. We have simplified the methods so our trainees can develop this skill in as little as two days. Our goal is not only to teach but also have you demonstrate what you have learned. We will be observing and testing you with very keen eyes on the following:

 

• Operating a tattoo machine

• Drawing & mapping brows based on the golden ratio

• Shade in 2 Techniques: Soft & Bold

• Color Theory & Color Corrections knowledge

• Practice on latex skins

• Work on live models

 

All of the above information are detailed in your training booklet for better retention. During training, we will diligently keep a close eye on your practices because we want to make sure that you will complete this course full of knowledge, and gain the necessary skills to start your journey. We want you to feel confident after this training--being confident will become the key to your success.

3. Business Marketing
 

Success as a new business will not be complete without marketing skills. If you combine your skills as an artist with strong marketing—you will take your business very far! In today’s world, marketing has become so accessible and easy. From the old school ways of making flyers to the newly digital world, you will learn how to utilize free marketing to your advantage and save money!

 

When I first started out as an artist, I spent a lot of money on training to learn everything I can on brows and also marketing. Overtime, I discovered what worked and what did not work. Can you believe that a lot of the marketing that worked for me was all free? Yes! Free! Instead of spending over hundreds of dollars on marketing, I began to utilize more of the free marketing that I had learned to create. Marketing is all around you, and how to utilize it will be my key secrets in helping you jumpstart your career in this million dollar industry!

• Photography & Video Skills

• Social Media Marketing – Instagram & Facebook

• Free Advertisings

• Google Search Engine Algorithms & SEOs

 

4. Support Group

 

All of our trainees will be invited to join the Forever Naimee support group that is created specifically for your continued education and learning after your training. We will actively answer any questions, concerns, and post tips/tricks to guide you along your brow journey. This is a closed group designed for our students only.

 

5. Shadowing

 

Trainees are encouraged to continue their learning through shadowing. This gives student a chance to observe more, and allow me to answer additional questions that you may have. Shadowing helps create repetitive learning. Bay Area students must book appointments to come in to shadow.  

 

Please note: shadowing in Arizona, Charlotte, and Nashville will be limited to additional 1:1 trainings from my bookings. Arizona students also get opportunity to shadow @KelleBeauty as well. Once schedule is available for shadowing, students will receive an invitation to come shadow.
